Gavin Arnet

Gavin Arnet has had a long association with the Franklin district. His family have farmed in the area for 30 years and Gavin grew up in Hunua before leaving to study law at the University of Waikato. He graduated BMS LLB in 2004. 

After being admitted to the Bar, he returned to practice law in Pukekohe for five years, before taking time out to travel. 

Gavin specialises in Commercial Law, Property Law, Trusts, Wills, Estates and Succession Planning as well as Relationship Property. He also has professional links to other specialists in all areas of the law. Clients can be referred to these specialists if appropriate. 

Outside of the office Gavin has twin daughters Michaela and Mae, and Stella who was born in May 2015. Gavin enjoys playing tennis and going to the gym when he gets time. He also helps out on his parents’ farm. He enjoys socialising with family and friends and is a passionate wine connoisseur. Gavin has recently become Deputy Chair of the Life Education Trust Counties Manukau and puts as much time and energy into this as he can. 

Miriam Arnet

With degrees in Law and Arts from Victoria University Wellington, Miriam is the latest member of the A Team. Miriam was admitted to the bar in 2003 and worked in a prominent firm in central Auckland before commencing practice in Pukekohe in 2005. After taking time out to travel, Miriam joined Tompkins Wake Lawyers in Hamilton as an Associate in the Litigation team.

Miriam is a Family Law expert, dealing with all manner of Family Law issues. Miriam has an amazing CV and brings another area of expertise to the A Team. 

Having taken some time out of practice to raise her children, twins Michaela and Mae, and little Stella, she is excited to return to part time practice in the Franklin area. 

Tasha Anderson

Tasha grew up in the Bay of Plenty and gained a Certificate in Community and Social Services before leaving to study Law at the University of Waikato. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 2016. After being admitted to the Bar in May 2018, Tasha decided to follow her passion for Family Law after gaining experience as a Registrar in the Family Court and working as a clerk in an Immigration Adviser’s office.

Tasha is an enthusiastic and driven individual. She works closely alongside Miriam Arnet assisting in Relationship property agreements, court applications for Parenting Orders and all Family matters.

Tasha looks forward to working in a client focused team and building great relationships within the community.

Richard Watling

Richard grew up in the far north and attended the Auckland University of Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business studies. Richard was admitted to the Bar in 2015 after law clerking for a year in a south Auckland law firm. 

Richard joined Arnet Law in 2019. And is a member of our Property and Commercial team.

Richard is a motivated client-driven Lawyer who works in the Property, Commercial and Private Client areas at Arnet Law. Richard’s focus is on assisting clients in relation to estate law, family and discretionary trusts, wills, enduring powers of attorney, residential property, residential care - loans and subsidies, reverse mortgages, licences to occupy and other elder law matters, commercial leasing and sale and purchase of a business’.

Outside of the office, Richard has 3 young daughters, enjoys travelling to the UK and Asia and most of all spending time with his children. Richard enjoys attending his children's sports events and working out at the gym when time permits!

Brittany Wallace

Brittany started her studies at Otago University doing Physical Education, before discovering her passion for law. She completed her Bachelor of Laws at Waikato University in June 2019, and has then gone on to do her Professional studies through the College of Law. She joined Arnet Law shorty after, and is working under Gavin Arnet, gaining knowledge in the Property and Conveyancing field.  

Brittany comes from a farming background, and has a love for the outdoors, rowing, hockey, netball and art. She is a goal driven, dedicated, and takes pride in her work.

With an ambition for helping people achieve their goals, Brittany looks forward to working with you.

Anna Bell

Anna joined Arnet Law in May 2019 as our office administrator.

Prior to having a child she worked in a Auckland CBD law firm. Her admin skills are fantastic and a real asset to our firm.

In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her 3 year old daughter and husband.
